Cate Hunter Kashem's primary areas of focus are impressionist oil landscapes, academic figurative work and still life. She is a student and emerging artist. She has studied with Robert Douglas Hunter, Dana Levin, Sam Vokey, David Curtis and Robert Cormier. Cate maintains a studio in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
She is indebted to both her father, artist Robert Douglas Hunter, who taught her how to paint in the Boston tradition, and her mother, Elizabeth Ives Hunter, who educated her on art history and continues to provide encouragement.
